Summary of Interview: Ms. Baquera briefly recounts what her childhood was like growing up on a ranch that dealt primarily in cotton; in addition, she also recalls her family and makes particular references to her sister, Inez Rios; she details how the braceros were hired, what their work entailed, and the kinds of food they would purchase; later, after she married, she lived on Ivey Ranch; some of her husband’s family, who were also braceros, lived with them; she also recounts her memories and experiences of the Great Depression; years later, she ended up in Rosenbloom Ranch and she details how that was greatly beneficial for her.
