Description

Original Caption: "Wearing home-made shoes, hewn from an old tire, and a blanket-poncho, this bracero comes to Mexico City to get on the list of applicants for farm work in the United States. He brings and document attested to by the notary of his village which certifies that he is a farm laborer and available for employment. Once accepted on the list, he then reports to one of the reception centers, Mexico processing braceros to the United States."
